Comedy Store Evening a great success
£6,500 raised

On 6th June the LGF hosted a night of comedy at one of London's premier
venues - The Comedy Store. Host Lee Mack had the audience in stitches
within seconds and all the comedians, including Will Smith, Greg Burns and Andre
Vincent were well received. The evening was a sell out and over £6,000
was raised. Special thanks go to Joanna Joseph for organising such a great
event.

Marathon runner raises £2,500
On a warm Sunday
afternoon in May, Tania Gergel completed her first marathon in a time of 4hrs
and 13 minutes. She has raised between £2500 and £3000 for the LGF and
we thank her for her endurance.

November 2004
Initial fund raising target met -
£120,000 raised
Thanks to everyone who has donated money and for all the volunteers and fund
raisers. We have reached our initial target which will allow us to
advertise for a research fellow into Hughes Syndrome at St Thomas'
Hospital. We still need further funds to help ensure that the
research can continue into the future and to help raise awareness of Hughes
Syndrome.

Sponsored walk raises over £7,000
Several walkers took place in the annual Hughes-Syndrome Foundation sponsored
walk across 7 bridges of the Thames on a blisteringly hot Sunday morning in
September. They raised over £7000 for the Louise Gergel Fellowship and we
congratulate them and thank them for their efforts.
